I have worked for CARES since 1993 and am married with a son and two daughters. 

My favourite times are spent with my family and friends and I also enjoy foreign holidays, reading and walking our dog, a Cavapoo called Mitzy.

I joined CARES in 2005.

My passions in life are supporting good physical and mental wellbeing for myself and others, my wonderful family and my pampered pets who are 4 chickens called Babs, Vera, Dotti and Dol.

I love music, dancing, gardening and cooking and have a fetish for boots2017-05-16

I have worked at CARES for 15 years now and have had many laughs over the years with some wonderful Carers. 

I enjoy spending time with, and being a big kid with, my niece and nephews.  I enjoy listening to a wide range of music and like to experiment cooking different dishes.

My role at CARES involves providing Information and Advice to Carers in Sandwell and undertaking home visits if required. 

My hobbies include enjoying brisk walks and long summers.

LynneLynne Davies – Senior Information and Advice Worker

I have worked at CARES for almost 15 years. I live with my partner Phil and two cats and I love amongst other things;  travelling, reading, politics, history, art and architecture, visiting galleries and National Trust Houses.

I also write stories for young children.




KateKate Roleston – Information and Outreach Worker

I have worked for CARES for over 10 years and have recently moved into the Information Team as an Information and Outreach Worker. I specialise in Debt work.


I am married with a family, including two beloved grandsons. My interests include current affairs, reading, cinema, walking and spending time with my family.


Julie Callcott – Clerical Assistant

I am a carer for my Mother of 83. I enjoy writing poetry and short stories and find the blank page can be a wonderful form of therapy and often use it to offload my worries and concerns.  As founder and leader of Blackheath Writers, I get much satisfaction in encouraging others to take part and pen their own Creative Writing.  It is a wonderful pastime that is made even better when you can relay a piece of work that others can also relate to.    




Safia Sawal – Carer Support & Development Worker (SWBHT)

I have a working background in Health and Social Care and Education, working in Day Centres, Colleges and University. For the past 4 years I have been working with Carers in Birmingham.

At home I live with my partner, our 23 year old daughter, a beautiful elderly greyhound, a naughty 2 year old whippet/cocker spaniel and the cat.

I enjoy long distance walking, a bit of gardening and reading my books.
